Skyrim: The first "killing" of alduin is a bit poorly done?
I feel when you first meet alduin at the throat of the world it should of been made so alduin leaves just before you completely take his life, because now when I meet him again I don't feel the battle will be as special knowing I have basically killed alduin once before... Would you agree?

The HP bar doesn't necessarily represent the total HP of a character. The HP that you saw during the first fight against Alduin was just how much you would need to hurt him to 'defeat' him, not his entire life. For instance, some quests for the Companions are to brawl with someone, and you have to hit them until they have no more HP. However, they are not dead, simply 'defeated.'

You don't kill him the first time, he gets away and goes to the Nordic heaven place. You did, however, wear down all of his strength, and so he went to that heaven place to eat souls and get his strength back.

he's a lot harder the second time if you ask me.

Yeah I hated that part too.
But who cares? The game is so good. It doesn't bother me as much anymore
