Ok if it has ANY MEMORY STORAGE UNIT at all it will transfer. If you have an arcade which doesn't come with a hard drive you can still transfer data. Also if you have a profile on Xbox live and want to transfer ONLY that profile data you can recover on your new Xbox via Xbox Live (if every profile is on Xbox live you can recover all profiles that way). I believe there is also a Cloud gamesave method via Xbox Live but i have not dealt or tested it. The Xbox live recover and Cloud methods will not cost you but the transfer cable will transfer offline.

dude just a jump drive/usb drive, put it in your xbox, then log into your xbox and transfer the data from your 4 gb to the usb/jump drive. so then you can put the usb/jump drive/hard drive in your 250 gb then transfer your data to the New Xbox 360 storage device or you can just keep the drive in there to store some of your old xbox stuff + YOU WILL HAVE MORE GB. if your going to do that look at this video.
