Skyrim: Will I actually see less dragons if I don't fast travel?

Or does it just feel like you see dragons more often because you are covering the distance to a place more quicker?

    I think some are scripted to show up if you happen to fast travel, so you might end up fighting more just because on foot they are easier to avoid. I usually see them in the distance and they aren't close enough to spot me, or they just won't land so I move on.

    I fast travel every time and encounter dragons all the time... like in Falkreath or any other places except the holds with doors to enter
