38 weeks pregnant what could these symptoms mean?
Hello I'm currently 38 weeks and 3 days pregnant. Let me start off from the beginning this past Thursday I had my weekly doctors appointment my doctor checked me and told me I was 1 centimeter dilated and she could already feel the baby's head. Since Thursday I have had brown discharge I know that's normal after a checkup but it had stopped Thursday night. Then the next day it seems like it increased and became mucousy(Sorry T.M.I) I'm still having it to this day but I know baby is fine because she's been moving alot. As for other symptoms I recently started having pain in my back but it seems to move up and down. It's not dehydration because all I drink is water. Also I get this really annoying pain in my upper abdominal area it feels like a tightening my stomach gets hard and I can't breathe. When I get that pain I can't sit down stand up or lay on either side of my body because it doesn't help. What could this be I don't wanna call my doctor out of fear I will sound stupid or not being able to describe the symptoms good enough or even bug. Please any answers or advice would be GREATLY appreciated. Sorry it's so long. Thank you in advance! [:

same thing is happening with me.. last night, they made me stay the night at the hospital to monitor things because i was bleeding and had discharge. they thought either my cervix (which is not even dialated yet but they cab feel her head) was irritated from the vag exam which made it bleed, or the placenta was detaching. they checked my cervix and they couldnt find a spot that was bleeding, but then again my bleeding stopped so i think it was just my cervix irritated.
allll night i was having bad and frequent contractions and i have so much pressure from her head pushing down and contractions that i could barely get any sleep and it hurts to change positions while i am sitting or laying down. i described all of what i was feeling to the nurses and dr and they said oh thats normal. i have a close friend that after having her cervix checked for the first time, caused her to go into labor not even 2 days after and she was 38 weeks also. the nurses said to monitor contractions and if they are no more than 5 mins apart for a full 2 hours to go to the hospital because it may be labor.
i think it has to be soon because after the brown blood that came after my exam, i started having bad pain and contractions that wont really go away.. good luck to you!
