Are there any atheists who are willing to die for their beliefs?

Cassie Bernall 17, Rachael Scott 17, and John Tomblin 16 were executed on 4-20-99 at Columbine High School in Colorado for being known christians. Cassie, upon being asked if she believed in God by one of the gunmen, answered, "Yes, I believe". She would not deny her God in the face of certain death.

I doubt very much that atheists would die for their belief in evolution, that would not be the logical thing to do.

But many Christians have been martyred for their faith in God. It would be stupid to deny God. Almighty God the creator of Heaven and Earth.

You weren't there, and Emily Wyant was.

You have borne witness that Eric asked her about God, and shot her because of her answer.

Eric may well be in Hell for murder.

Emily says the conversation did not happen.

It therefore would seem that, if your Bible has one passage that says breaking any one Commandment is just as bad as breaking any other, and if your Bible has one passage that says you are NOT allowed to bear false witness, looks like you and he are going to be room-mates for eternity.

First off, that incident never happened, and has been debunked for some time. Even if it was true, I still wouldn't have done it.

It would be simply stupid to throw your life away just to tell a pair of psychos what you're beliefs are. I'd have lied, walked away, and lived out the rest of my life. By simply saying my beliefs, I'd be dead, and gain nothing whatsoever.

I do not feel the need to die for my Atheistic beliefs.

If Cassie, Rachael and John has any common sense, they would have denied being an Christian for that 5 minutes, and later gone on the spread the word of God.

  • What beliefs? I think you had better look up the word "atheist".

Edit: Yeah, I'm willing to die because I simply don't believe in others imaginary friends up in the sky. Think!

Edit: Even if it did happen that way (which is BS) those people were stupid. If a God did exist and wouldn't forgive lying to save one's life then they are worth worshiping to start with.

I personally wouldn't, and many others wouldn't because we are rational and are not fanatics. Socrates did, but he accomplished great things.

That story has been falsified many times.

Sorry to uh, burst ya bubble, but i think it had nothing to do with religion, it was just two idiotic teens opening fire on the entire school, and they were hit.

    No, only extremists do that

I don't think you know what an Atheist is. It means "without god". So your question is rather pointless in the context. Would it have made any difference if she had renounced god?
