Blurred vision, ringing in ears, sweats...Vertigo?

Question

I get dizzy and a loud ringing in my ears begins. My vision becomes blurred and I start to sweat.Sometimes I faint and throw up after I wake up. This has been going on for about 2 1/2 years but after the first time it happened, it was another year before it happened again. More recently on new year's eve. Almost the same symptoms every time, except sometimes I may not faint and sometimes I may not throw up. I went to the doctor after the first few times and I was told it was a virus but I don't think a virus would come and go like this a few times a year. Is this vertigo? What else could it be?

Your blood sugar is dropping. You are borderline diabetic. See your doctor. ...Blurred vision, dizziness, profuse and instant sweating for no reason, ringing in ears are all symptoms of diabetes, in your case, low blood sugar which drops from a dramatic high form something you ate earlier. Such episodes can lead very quickly to coma, and death if not taken care of. Good luck.
