is fungus clear tank buddies abrasive?
i would like to know if tungus clear tank buddies has any negative affects... and if its good to use as a preventative measure or if it provides any sort of vitamin or fish suppliment?

Fungus clear tank buddies contain Nitrofurazone, Furazolidone, and Potassium Dichromate.
The first two are antibacterial and dissolve slowly. The last one is an inorganic chemical used to produce chromic acid. Chromic acid is used to etch designs on glass. It causes dermatitis on exposed humans. No vitamins or supplements are listed as ingredients. The concentrations in the product combined probably do something else. By converting aldehydes (orange/yellow tint in the water) to carboxylic acid (green) it may somehow lower the pH or interfere with fungus in some way, while the antibacterials prevent secondary infection.
