Should we go with Verizon FiOS?

So my mom is thinking of switching from our TV/Internet provider (Metrocast if you're wondering) to Verizon FiOS since the latter plan is cheaper by about $40 (89.99/mo. for the first 2 years compared to 129.99/mo.). Is Verizon trying to scam us by dangling this great deal in front of our faces, then hitting us with other fees, etc, or is it actually a good deal?

I have Verizon and it cost much more then they promote.... My first bill was over $300 then my second one was 200 something, now it's down to 175 but that's still freaking high....They charge for a lot of extra stuff plus taxes which brings up the price....I think the 130 you're paying now is reasonable....You don't need to switch.
