A little debate my family and I are having?

So my husband, brother in law and I are having a friendly discussion/debate on who would win a duel (not to the death) between Gandalf (for those that don't know - Lord of the Rings) and Obi-Wan Kenobi (star wars). We have rules like the lightsaber wouldn't automatically cut through Glamdring because of it's magical enchantments and things like that. We also decided that the mystical elements would pretty much cancel each other out and it would essentially come down to a sword battle. I'm pretty on the fence about who would win that, but the boys say that Obi Wan would have it hands down. What do you guys think?

(Book version of Gandalf, not movie versions. I refuse to acknowledge those atrocities and since it's my question, I can do stuff like that ;) )

Update:

Jacob, as I said in the question, we're saying that because of the magical enchantments surrounding Glamdring, Obi-wan's lightsaber can't cut through it. And I'm not discounting the force, but what I am saying is that as a Maia (a demigod, essentially) Gandalf is no slouch when it comes to the mystical side of it and that the two powers would pretty much cancel each other out, which is why it would come down to the sword.

Glamdring = Gandalf's sword. I just realized that there are people who probably don't know that.

Wow, you guys are taking this way more seriously than I anticipated. This is not a kill your apponent kind of battle. More like a sparring competition.

    Way to support your opinion there Witch-king. Just thumbs down the good answers and thumbs up yours, without backing up your answer with any facts at all. Let me drop some knowledge here-

    Obi-Wan Kenobi was a master swordsman,one of the orders finest. He killed Darth Maul as an apprentice, killed General Grievous, and sliced in half a very powerful and young Darth Vader. What is Gandalf going to to do without his magic? Answer- he won`t do jack, he won`t even come close to getting through Obi's defense. This isn`t even a close fight, deal with it LOTR fans, but your crusty old man ain`t got nothing on Kenobi.

    Obi is a well trained Jedi Master. He would beat the old wizard senseless. If it was an all out battle Gandalf would have a chance, but melee combat only, thats too easy, Obi is your winner.

    thats a good one but i would have to go with obi-wan kenobi because jedi are very very witty they would easily figure out how to defeat a wizard and also because thier lightsaber can cut through any, and dont cut outt the force either
