My JVC BR-7700U VHS recorder does not play.?

The play button blinks when pressed and then stops after 5 secs. The REW & FF work.

I have tried numerous tapes in it, none work. This includes tapes made at professional post houses.

    The heads probably need demagnetizing and/or cleaning.

    If you don't know how to do this yourself...well, good luck finding a repair store that can still handle VCRs!

    Seriously it's way past time you convert or replace your tapes with DVD.
