Clinton is outraged at no one helping in the UN and has suggested an International Coalition of friendly countries.

The main Syrian opposition umbrella group, the Syrian National Council, backed the idea.

Radwan Ziadeh, a prominent figure in the SNC, wrote on his Facebook page that friendly countries should form an "international coalition ... whose aim will be to lead international moves to support the revolution through political and economic aid."

A deeply sensitive question is whether such a coalition would back the Free Syrian Army. There appears to be deep hesitation among Western countries, fearing further militarization of the conflict.

Omar Idlibi, an activist with the Syrian National Council, said action by a "friends coalition" to increase sanctions and other steps would boost peaceful opposition through protests.

I can only see the United States doing this in the West but we did nothing when it came to Egypt's Arab Spring. I guess this is all the underlying militants that want Jihad Muslim in Charge like the Brotherhood which I feel are in cahoots with China, Iran and Russia.

Turkey seems to be helping as a neighbor

This can't be a civil war in Syria. For that to be possible, the insurgency must be of Syrian origin and not recruited agents of the west.

  • If they don't take from existing arms caches already in the country (like they did in Libya), they'll probably getting arms from western countries & even Turkey.

The Mug West will pay,,then the mullahs will get power, and things will get worse,.

Everything will then be our fault.

    As usual.

  • US then the UK Our countries will probably be at the top of the list, in aiding them with whatever we're able.

weapons and money from the EU (european union) and the US, and maybe some military aid from Egypt, Libya, and Tunisia, given that they are stable enough after their own revolutions have cooled down.
