Getting new flat screen TV?

My personal opinion is that the best brand for the money is Panasonic. However you will probably get Samsung. LG, Sharp, Toshiba and Sony recommendations also. I think all of them make decent units. If you don't have to buy immediately I would go to the store and look at a few, write down the model numbers of the ones that look good to you and then go home and read some reviews online before making a decision. Also verify that the tv you select has the features you are looking for. Don't depend on the salesman "promising" you that "oh yeah that set can do that" without verifying it.

Ive had all sorts of brands over the years. And ive found that Samsung are the best sound quality and have the best picture. And most importantly they look beautiful.

Try Walmart. They have quite a lineup of various makes and models. Take your pick. Some of them must be on sale.
