Which is the higher end car, Chrysler or Dodge?
Just like the Mercury was a higher end Ford product, I would like to know if Chrysler is the higher end of Dodge. I know baseline they are the same company, but which uses better parts?

Chrysler is the parent. Back in the 20's, there were brothers who built pickups. They were known as the Dodge brothers. Chrysler bought them out to build the Dodge pickup under the Dodge name. The Dodge name now goes for Chrysler made cars too, Chrysler Town and Country has more nice details and more luxurious than the Dodge Caravan and Plymouth Voyager, but the drive trains and basic body's are made on the same assembly line and all parts are the same except the name plates and trim. . The Dodge trucks are built under the Chrysler corporation, but has it's on engineering firm and designers.

Yes, Chrysler is meant to be more high end than Dodge. But when you drive both, you don't feel or see much of a difference.
Most of the difference is in the design and looks of the car. The Chrysler looks more classy and luxurious.
Parts are the same.
Dodge Charger and Challenger and the same car as the Chrysler 300c. Same steering wheels, same seats, same suspension, same brakes, same engine and transmission, same batteries. Same everything almost.

There are a lot of differences between the stock Chrysler and the R/T and SRT Chargers and Challengers. They are all on the LX platform and the Chrysler is more luxurious in base form compared to the other two base models but that's just where it starts.

Great question!
Chrysler is our luxury brand where Dodge is our high performance brand. Each model has unique characteristics that appeal to each individual buyer.
Visit your local Chrysler and Dodge dealers for a test drive to compare models or visit:
www.Dodge.com or www.Chrysler.com to see all the outstanding products we have to offer.
