When should I ask her out?

We're both 17, both know we like each other & have done for about 1 month now, but she has just come out of a year long relationship about 4 weeks ago. Of course she's really broken up about it like more than usual but I really don't know when to ask her, in about a months time? I'll only ask if I know she's ready but any advice? Thanks :)

    I also say you should surprise her by asking her if she wants to go out with you on Valentines Day.
