I have 2 suggestions, first if you are a business that has been in operation for more than 1 year and accept credit cards, many processing companies will advance you monies based on your prior 6 months transactions. Unfortunately this usually requires changing processing companies. It is really good if you have poor personal credit though.

Second I have used a website called prosper.com to fund my business when I needed cash. They are a group of small investors who each typically only invest a couple hundred dollars each but they bundle many of these investors together and you can go as high as $25k from what I've seen.

    Hope this helps

You can approach a bank, a venture capitalist or even an angel investor. Each one requires a lot of research about the person you will be asking money from. You can also consider a company like mine : http://seekvest.com/ that does all the work of finding an investor for you. The choice is yours.
