chevy cavalier has only 1 fan speed, high?
its a 2005 and as in my 01 which has 2 speeds, I dont know where to look for or what to replace, any help will be great, the 2 my 01 has is med, and high ,

The loss of fan speeds usually indicates that the blower motor resistor is bad which controls the various fan speeds in conjunction with the fan switch....or the switch itself may be bad. The resistor is located near the blower motor in the HVAC ducting behind the dash...usually behind the glovebox area. Parts stores or a Chev dealer sell the resistor or fan switch......resistor for an 05 model looks like this....

In some cases, you may have to replace the blower motor as it will soon fail due to the resistor going bad.
