Will my PC's UK power supply work in the US?
My husband is going to the US on weds, he said he's taking his pc with him. I know you can get diffirent pc cables. But I'm sure someone told me the powersupplies inside the pc don't work in deffirent electrical currents. Am I wrong? I know the ps3 will work abroad but I've never heard of the pc working in another country. It's a desk top. If worst comes to worst I can get him a keyboard for the ps3..

You need to check the power supply and see if there's a sticker on it. The important part is the voltage INPUT - what the PC receives when it's plugged into the mains. If it says something like 100-240V - 50-60Hz, then it will be fine as American voltage is 120 volts and it's within the stated operating range of 100-240 Volts. If the sticker only says 240V, then the device won't work in the US.

There may be a change over switch near the input socket to change from 230v European to 110v American.
