is mango and sticky rice always vegan?

my family got mango and sticky rice from a restaurant and did not offer to share because they don't know if it's vegan or not. Would they even add animal products to this? It's traditionally made vegan, but I am a little unsure if it might contain milk or not.

If you don't like vegans, gtfo.

Since there are always variations to recipes, I don't think anything could be classified as ALWAYS vegan. Different people cook things in different ways, possibly with dairy or chicken broth, so I would always check the ingredients or ask if it is vegan before eating it. I am a vegetarian and have found that many restaurants season their vegetable with ham or beef broth, so even the vegetables aren't always vegetarian! It's a pain, but it's better to ask to be on the safe side. If you know the restaurant it came from, call them and they should be able to tell you.

It's vegan. The rice is cooked in either water or coconut milk

Does it contain milk? Doubtful. Was the rice cooked in or with chicken stock? Possibly.
