Not Enough Killing Machines for Conservatives?
Virginia repealed a one-per-month limit on HANDGUN purchases on Tuesday, less than five years after a mentally-deranged student used handguns to massacre 32 people at Virginia Tech University in the worst single act of gun violence in U.S. history.
Republican Governor Bob McDonnell, who is high on the list of possible 2012 vice presidential candidates, signed the controversial legislation into law.
The limit had been on the books since 1993, when it was enacted in an effort to curb gun-smuggling operations. Virginia had a reputation as a state where gunrunners could arrange to purchase a volume of guns to sell on the streets of cities such as Washington, D.C. and New York.
One hopes that there will come a day when these actions will be considered historically criminal like slavery, child molestation and not disinfecting before delivery babies. Now it is just the everyday normal, thoughtless, Conservative mentality. More killing machines on the streets, just build more prisons, right?

Remember, these are the same people that started a war (and got their butts kicked) over keeping their slaves. Logic and decency is not in their dictionary. In fact, i don't think they own a dictionary. Just a TV tuned to FOX 24/7

What purpose did the once per month law serve? Even if such a law would keep guns from someone that snapped (it will not) when someone decide to go on a murderous rampage they will just get more creative about the weapons they will use. Do you know how easy it really is to make explosives? Actually it's a good thing that they use guns rather than other weapons that come to mind. A gun kills one person at a time, well placed explosives could take out large numbers of people. As long as people like you refuse to look at the real problem and focus only on gun law, these situations will keep happening.

So even with a one-per-month limit on gun purchases the VT Massacre still happened? Sounds like the law wasn't working to begin with.

You have a Constitutional Right to own a gun.
Congress has the power to legislate that gun be put agains the back of your head and discharged if you harm someone with it.
So it should balance out in the end. Too bad Congress is too weak kneed to make such legislation.

And how many people has the repeal killed so far?
I'm sure the criminals are happy now, they were having such a hard time complying with those gun laws before...
