What do you think about the above two quotes?

- IE. People become so passionate about an issue that they support it without even attempting to research facts for themselves.
The question is not targeted at whether Kony 2012 is a good cause or not (it obviously is), but whether there is meant to be such mass support about a topic which was remote to most people just yesterday.

To the first quote: You don't need to be good at geography to stand up against evil wherever it is in the world.
To the second quote: I would need to know the full context to give an opinion.
