Out of a 5 year relationship, when is it okay to start dating?

I lived with my boyfriend for about 2 years, and we even go engaged. But we both realized we weren't really happy together, and mutually split.

Literally a few days later I met a new guy, and we starting talking just as friends. But we both agree there are feelings there.

When is it okay to start dating someone new after being in a relationship for so long?

I've only been single for a little over 2 weeks.

It's fine to start dating right away. You shouldn't be held back because of a failed relationship. That doesn't make any sense..

It's up to you there's no right or wrong answer so if you feel like you're ready to be in a new relationship then by all means go for it

Make sure you will not compare him with the other one.
