Christians, since plants are alive?

Do they go straight to hell for not worshipping your god? And what about animals? I don't see them on their knees to pray.

Update:

@Jeanine Ever heard of cannibals? Who eat humans? And the animals who eat humans? We are food to them, so technically, according to your logic, we don't have souls, so we go straight to hell no matter what.

Update 2:

@alikat Sorry, but i was me who thumbed you down by mistake. Would have thumbed you up, but pressed the wrong button.

There is no indication plants have souls or need one. Animals it would seem do have souls as the Hebrews were forbidden to eat blood because the soul of an animal was in it's blood. It was and still is necessary to drain all visible blood and in some cases draw it out with salt. It you want to know if there is an animal heaven you will have to ask God. Animals are not made in the mental image of God and cannot be expected to worship him.

No. Only human beings that were made in the image and likeness of God have to answer as to why they did not accept their creator. So all of that about plants and animals eating humans have nothing to do with anything.

They were not made in the image of God. Humans were. They were spoken into existence by God. Humans were form out of the dust of the earth by God. Animals were spoken into existence by God.

God breathed into man's nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Animals and plants do not have a spirit like we do and were not made in the image of God.

God says 'my children perish for lack of knowledge'.

The sad thing is, all you need to do is consult His Word and the answers are there.

Planst are living in that they reproduce and are part of creation yet they have their own place, God is glorified by their presence when we acknowledge Him as their creator.

Animals too, they have souls like us and God says 'the soul that lives will surely die'.

What does God mean by soul?

His Word calls it the 'breath of life'.

Mammals that breath air, fish that extract oxygen from water in order to survive, this is soul, God has power over life and death and therefore we glorify Him by acknowledging that the gift of life to us and creation is from Him.

So, what is it that separates us from everything else?

God said 'let us make man in our image'

God is spirit, there is a part of us that is spirit, in likeness to Him and with the potential to have eternal life.

Adam and Eve ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil so that they could be like 'gods' note the lower case 'g', Their lesser status meant that their understanding of good and evil was imperfect.

Without God, we use the same knowledge of good and evil Adam and Eve chose on our behalf.

For that reason, cannibalism exists, there are accounts where such people ate nuns believing that the 'goodness' in the nuns would be passed on to them a sort of 'you are what you eat' situation.

And then there is your understanding of hell.

The word hell is a mutation of Sheol which means 'grave'.

In the times the Bible was written it was custom to put the dead in a tomb until the flesh had rotted from the bones, then open the tomb put the bones in a smaller box and reuse the tomb for someone else. Abraham was placed in a cave as was his wife.

This is how the mortal flesh body was disposed of.

Jesus said 'I am the resurrection and the life'

He died, was buried and rose again on the third day, conquering death for those who believe in Him.

Up to now only one man has been resurrected to eternal life, that is Jesus Christ. All who have died have not gone straight to heaven or hell, they are sleeping, just like the saints in Revelation, whose spirits sleep under the throne awaiting their resurrection.

It is what happens after resurrection that we should be mindful of.

Judgement takes place then, we have to stand before the throne of God.

Those who believe that the Jesus of the Bible is their saviour, that they have been atoned for by His blood on the cross, they will inherit eternal life in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Those who believe and teach a false Christ, they will stand before Him and say 'we cast out demons in your name' and He will say 'away from me, I never knew you'

They will be cast into the lake of fire.

And God's enemies are destined for that too.

There is the spiritual aspect of the human race, the part of us that has the potential to inherit eternal life, and there is the physical aspect, the part of us that might look and appear appetising to a wolf, a bear or a shark.

Jesus gave instructions on how to pray and where.

    Matt 6

5 "And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.

6 But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

7 "And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words.

8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

You may never see a plant or animal praying, but, if a person is behaving the way His Lord and Master wants him to, you won't see him/her praying either.

Have you ever peeled a banana in a cold climate and heard it shiver?

Why pick on Christians? Is this some atheist rant?

When I look at the questions in the religious category I can't help feeling that many atheists are very insecure.

Neither plants nor lower animals have an

    awareness of right and wrong.

Why should they go to hell?

But my plants do worship God..Every morning their little leaves are rising high in praise..

Not all of us believe God damns non-Christians. God isn't a xenophobe, people are.
