Help with cornbread...?

I made cornbread with chili the other night and it tasted fantastic, but it crumbled when I tried to pick up or slice a piece. Not just a little bit, but it completely fell apart and I ended up with a pan full of crumbs. Since I have jumbo eggs, I only used one, but now I'm wondering if that second egg would hold it together better. What do you guys think?

Update:

That's not lame at all--I appreciate your feedback. I should've added the recipe. Sorry.

I've tried it a few times and I just can't get it right. (I couldn't remember if I used one egg or two in the past.) Re-reading the recipe, I realize now I put the ingredients together in the wrong order. When I try it again tomorrow night, I'll do it exactly as it says and I'll let it sit a couple more minutes before cutting into it. Wish me luck.

You should try it yourself--it really does taste fantastic (unless, of course, you're southern and hate sweet cornbread ~LOL~.)

it is hard to say without knowing the proper amounts of all the other ingredients. What did the recipe call for? Is this a recipe you have used before and this did not happen before?? If you use too many eggs, then the cornbread will have a cake like texture...hope this helped...kinda lame answer...:)

Julie i can't believe that you still waste your time on Yahoo! So many years! And Enrique Iglesias and Maluma are way beautiful than Ricky Martin.
