Try Quebec City.
Centuries ago, it was the capitol of New France which stretched from Hudson Bay to the Gulf of Mexico and covered a third of the North American continent.
Now it's the capitol of the Canadian Province of Quebec.
Quebec's a modern city but its heart is something truly unique.
The original walled city still exists.
It's the only fortified city in North America north of Mexico.
It's over 400 years old, with narrow cobblestone streets and fully preserved historic buildings.
