Can I sue anyone or any group from another country (for internet slander, libel, offensive comments, abuse)?

Can I sue anyone or any group from another country (for internet slander, libel, offensive comments, abuse)?

Someone or some group is often shooting slander and/or libel (defamation of character) and offensive abusive comments to me, in a public internet forum which is a Question & Answer site. It defames my character and can't be tolerated. It has been going for quite a long time.

I know the person name and location, not exact location but City, State etc.

The site admin, management and customer support can't stop it. As that person returns with a new alias via a proxy internet server (new ip addrses) everytime after his ban from that forum.

The site doesn't have enough manpower or resources to track/trace him..

So can I sue him or his group from another country?

How do I do it? Please tell in steps/ details about the lawsuit process.

    No.

Plus, if they lived in your country, it still wouldn't matter because internet laws vary by state, and the majority of them don't have internet laws in regards to messages because websites allow you to block other users and also :

    1st amendment, nuff said.

Yes, you can. however, the trouble is that our courts do not have jurisdiction in most areas of the world, so any teeth behind your suit would be gone pretty quick.

And I think no one is going to take you seriously if you still come on here even though you are "offended".
