How come most liberals wrongly think that Conservatives are similar to NAZIs?
Every so often in the News I read that NAZIs were Conservative, what part of National SOCIALIST Party leads to being Conservative?

Today's modern liberal is much more similar to the nazis than conservatives. Especially when it comes to the fascistic idea that you as an individual can be identified by your race, or special group status they've made up for you. Very fascist of you, little libbies.

I'm guessing it's the exact same tendency that causes one set of people to demonize the other.
It causes people to distort facts and pigeonhole an entire group based on a handful of unrelated criteria.
Sort of how having the word "socialist" in the NAZI acronym causes some righties to make allegations that Fascism is a product of left wing politics.
Yet, in so doing, they completely ignore the FAR right-wing foundations in which fascism is grounded: strong emphasis on a traditional national culture.
Granted, some comparison to righties can be made on that aspect.
But, it's like comparing a light drizzle to a hurricane!
People need to learn that US politics should stay mostly to the center. And that the FAR extremes are dangerous.
Extreme left turns into totalitarian communism. Extreme right turns into totalitarian fascism.
But, there's quite a far distance between leaning conservative and being a Nazi.

i ask your self the comparable approximately conservatives on a daily basis. as far as my own ideals, i don't have a itemizing. i do no longer could bypass around giving all and sundry a depiction of my ideals. i will state how i've got confidence approximately some thing whilst dealing with the project although. i would be rapid to show out that i'm a liberal, I thankfully artwork approximately 40 hours a week, and that i'm very beneficiant and obtain no funds from the government. actually, cons can shove their uneducated view of liberals the place the solar do no longer shine.

Calling Conservatives Nazis is done for the same reason that some conservatives call Liberals commies; they seek to shock, and to hurt someone in what they think is the worst way possible.

It was called the National Socialist Party, but its policies once Hitler had control were very conservative and corporate oriented. In fact, a key in HItler's election success was due to massive corporate donations and support in exchange for a guarantee that a National Socialist government would control the unions.
The minutes of the meeting where that was negotiated were used as evidence in the Nuremburg War Crimes Trials. You can look it up.
There are some striking similarities in the economic practice of the Nazis and the policies advocated by Republicans. Whenever possible Hitler left services in the hands of corporate owners, much like the health care model, which was designed by the Republican candidate and adopted by the Congress at the insistence of Republicans.
Another similarity is the use of an official propaganda outlet. Hitler had Der Speigel and the GOP has Fox. Frankly, Goebbels was less accurate than Bill O'Reilly, but not by much. Hitler boasted that repeating the same lie often enough would make it true, and that is the way Fox works.
MSNBC is also a propaganda network, but we are not talking about how Democrats resemble whatever they resemble. To be fair, MSNBC is a lot more accurate although much more boring.
Now add the intrusive social engineering advocated by the conservative movement. As the National Socialists assumed the right to control the bodies of all citizens the Republicans are demanding an end to contraception and insisting that every pregnancy be carried to term. For a party that insists it is opposed to big government that is pretty invasive. Yes, Hitler used his power to sterilize and abort, but the fundamental principle is the same.
Set aside Hitler's insane racial hatreds and examine his internal economic policy and you will find he was very corporate friendly. he knew they had helped him to power in 1932 and he always protected their interests, just as the Republicans do today.
From their perspective you guys are pretty scary.

Smoking Joe is correct about one thing, as soon as the dirty-work is done, those who carry the banners for the name-sake of the *cause* will be "disappeared" in a Night of the Long Knives, and the real leaders will take over.
No regime leader(s) want(s) trained insurgents (useful idiots) within their ranks afterwards, and they sure as Hell never risk their butts on the front lines during.

well because nazi's were fascists and fascism is a right wing movement.
no amount of spin or clever manipulation of quotes or wordplay will change this basic fact.
left wingers are stuck with communists on their far left - right wingers are stuck with fascists on their far right.
maybe it would be best if no one embraced illogical and radical labels that do not accurately describe anyone.
anyone who uses either nazi/fascist OR socialist/communist to describe anyone in the current american political scene will get exactly zero credibility in my eyes...

How come most conservatives wrongly think that North Korea is TOTALITARIAN?
Every so often in the News I read that North Korea is TOTALITARIAN, what part of the DEMOCRATIC People's Republic of Korea leads to being totalitarian?
Source(s): While they were sincere in their use of the adjective socialist, they saw it as inseparable from the adjective national, and meant it as a socialism of the master race, rather than the socialism of the underprivileged and oppressed seeking justice and equal rights. - 9 years ago
Racialism, agrarian history lovers, mass rallies, conformity, golden age, hating immigrants, seems fairly right (politically not right as in correct) to me.
but it all steams from Godwin's law.
I personally when attacking the right prefer to ignore the Nazis and talk about H S Chamberlain and Gobineau instead.
EDIT: Oh no I forgot blind nationalism.

Use of the word "conservative" is far too ambiguous these days because the meanings have morphed into meaning or representative of uptight far-right-wing bibically-literal fundamentalist religious fanatics, many of whom are anal retentives due to childhood abuses during potty-training days---fanatics who try to cram their own very narrow version of psycho-pseudo "religion" off on everyone else in a vain attempt to convince themselves the path they've chosen to overcompensate for repressed personal or psychological shortcomings (a.k.a., Republicans and many of the teabagging evangelical extremists who claim to be part of the Tea Party). These extremists rely heavily on propaganda and hate speech (Faux "news" and its affiliates, the Washington-based Hill & Nolton PR firm, Limbaugh or bratboy beck, BreitBRAT distortions, the Heritage Foundation, etc.), something like Nietzsche proposed, to demonize entire (and innocent, but envied) segments of a given population---and Nietzsche is the German philosopher upon whose theories Nazism was based. Oops! Seems as if our far-right-wing religious-nut hidden-agenda Republicans and TeaP'ers are indeed patterning themselves on a very Nazi-esque framework.
Be careful not to do what most of these right-wingers (home-schooled quite often) do and confuse socialism with communism, Grasshopper. The United States is now and has always been a yin-yang balance between capitalism and socialism...socialism upon which you and everyone you know relies whether you realize this or not. Examples: police and firefighters, the VA medical system, Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, the U.S. military, national parks, the U.S. Post Office, our courts, bridges and tunnels, our highways and roadways, FAA (airplane safety requirements), OSHA (worker safety requirements), FDA (food and pharmaceutical safety requirements), public schools and colleges, libraries...and so on. The advantage of having this yin-yang balance is that neither side can go too far because the other is there to set up a system of checks and balances. When Nazi-esque corporate-colluding insider-trading right-wingers come into power, this balance all too often shifts to removal of all oversight (a Constitutional duty of our elected representatives that the GOP eliminates) and elimination of all consumer protections or checks and balances, unleashing BOTTOMLESS-PIT GREED that has historically caused devastations: the Great Depression (1929-1938), the Iran-Contra scandal during Reagan/Bush days; the SAVINGS AND LOAN COLLAPSE (Reagan/Bush-Bush/Quayle days); the loss of our nation's manufacturing base (read Bartlett & Steele's "America, What Went Wrong?" available on amazon.com); the recent HOUSING/CREDIT MARKETS' COLLAPSE that began in 2004 according to National Public Radio's reports; and the FINANCIAL SYSTEM MELTDOWN of 2007-2008, which former Fed Chairman and Republican Alan Greenspan has testified before Congress to be largely due to the error of DEREGULATION! Republicans are worse than Nazis, but they do target envied segments of this nation's population in order to make us a house divided against itself. VOTE DEMOCRATS!

white racism is the big thing conservatives and NAZIs have in common although they try to showcase other race guys who a dumb or crazy enough to be used by them
the other thing they have in common with the NAZIs is feeding the wealthy i.e., fascism
the NAZIs were socialists in name only
Hitler had to pander to the Communists in Germany to get them to join the NAZIs
conservatives in USA are conservative only in name
There is not much economic liberty left to conserve so they are really radicals
Conserving to them means reinterpreting the constitution to suit a radical agenda
which has already been done by the other side in another direction
