Since when has YA put a cap on making responses?

They changed it Monday intending on stopping the spam answers and ones that people put in just to get 2 points and don't answer the question which I think is ridiculous. If you have achieved the levels 5-7 you most likely did it by giving good answers and not what they are trying to stop. We are being penalized for trying to help as many people as possible with good well researched and thought out answers.

So with their change we now have to pick and choose which questions to answer. The questions that are easily researched or common sense and homework questions are low on my list now. I tend to stick to ones that are asking for help that they can't figure out themselves rather then answer the simple ones.

I think yahoos time would have been better spent on filtering out the reportable questions like the adverts for escorts for example. Also they should fix the glitch that is repeating every-ones questions multiple times.

I think many of us are rethinking our participation in this site now, they gave us a reward for being helpful then snatched it away. It shows that they don't value our input!

Yahoo changed the limits for level 5 - 7, there is no unlimited answers etc now, it changed on Monday. It is due to all the bad answers that have been submitted and to stop some spam answers. If you click on the ABOUT tab and then the Answers Blog, there is a thread going on there, a lot of users are not at all happy about it.

This is a free site, so although we may not agree with Yahoo and understand why they are doing it, we have to go along with it.

As you are level 7 as well, the daily votes have increased, and you can answer 20 questions, 80 answers, 40 comments, 100 stars, unlimited ratings, 400 votes.

Yes, about a week ago, they put the cap on so there is no real difference between being a Lv 4 and a Lv 7. It was done to force you to be both more cautious and more responsive with your answers, but it will not stoop the trolls one iota.

They changed the limits Mon 16th April so the maximum for all higher level users is 80 answers and 20 questions the idea is to limit the point gaming multiple account users and raise the standard.
