Should I cancel my Saturday roadtrip?

This Saturday is my bday. I work 70+ hrs a week at 2 jobs...one ft and one pt as a freelancer. I was hoping to FINALLY do what I wanted for once. When my younger sister (36yrs old & mentally handicapped) found out she pitched a huge fit screaming, crying, ending with her kicking me in the leg rather hard. She was demanding that I spend the day taking her to do her entertainment shopping wherever she wants to go. In light of her tantrum should I cancel my trip and do what sister wants instead?

    Go do your roadtrip.

Yes. You have no business going on a roadtrip if it upsets anyone in your family. It upset your sister. The fact that you are still thinking about going tells me you don't take her needs into consideration at all. Extremely selfish of you. If you go anyway all you will be doing is tormenting your sister. Not nice at all. I think you need to grow up and take more consideration for her needs. btw...working 2 jobs has no bearing on this at all. As far as I'm concerned you only mentioned it as a cop-out excuse.

If you cancel you will be making a rod for your own back as far as your sister is concerned. Handicapped or not, it is very selfish of her.

Tell her that you'll do what she wants on her birthday, and she can start planning what she would like to do.
