What do you think of Jose Canseco trying to get into the All Star Game?
http://espn.go.com/blog/playbook/fandom/post/_/id/...
Apparently there is no rule saying a player must be on a team to be an all-star.
So what do you think of this?
BQ: Are you going to vote for him?
@Fungo, I am not assuming this. The ESPN writer is assuming this.
He mentions there is no rule about it. And I am not saying he will get in, because he won't.
Remember, players must be voted in by majority. Do you really think more people will vote in Sarah Palin (all for the same position) than any other player? Fat chance.

OH, MY GOD.
BQ: NO. If I'm going to vote for someone who isn't even playing, I'll vote for Kirk Gibson or someone who never made it before and actually might deserve it.

"Apparently there is no rule saying a player must be on a team to be an all-star". You're assuming this.
If that were the case, enough votes for baseball types like Stan Musial, Yogi Berra, Lou Piniella and Whitey Herzog or non-baseball types like Casey Anthony, O.J. Simpson, Sarah Palin and Donald Trump would make a travesty of the All Star Game voting process.
Canseco will not be in the All Star Game.
Add: Writers get paid for writing and, in some cases, creating controversy. Looks like this could be one of those cases. But Canseco does have a better chance than the others I facetiously listed.

LOL!
No. Nor do i want to see him playing. Like the other guy said.. I would rather see Kirk Gibson before Jose Canseco.
