The Yahoo statement is that one or more trusted reporters must report a question or answer for it to be deleted. You can appeal and if the appeal is upheld the reporter loses some credibility. It takes a number of violations to get someone suspended, the exact number would vary dependant on the severity of the violations.

because interesting questions are usually chat questions and they are very likely to get reported......

and for informative questions, idk but maybe the asker him/herself delete the question....or maybe the questions didnt follow the Community Guidelines hence got reported...

but keep in mind that even a valid question also can be reported and deleted, this is probably the act of users known as"trolls:....

    good day to you..... :D

YA has community moderation posts are reported by other members which can result in deletion. The number of abuse reports before deletion depends on the "trust level" of the reporters.Oftentimes it only takes reporting by 2 "trusted" members although sometimes several, and in rare occasions only one to report a post and the bots remove it. As to why your post (s) was (were) reported without complete context that's impossible to say.

Also Questions without answers are removed by Yahoo after 4 days 8 if you extended it or no best answer" won the vote. You don't lose any points.if it is voted NBA.. the asker will get points returned it never gets answers at all.. it just gets removed as expired and no point changes

Sometimes a post may seem very innocuous but can still be a violation. This may help you in the future. Here are four very common violations .

    Solicitation:

    Chat:

Questions must not be solely personal or asking for opinions but must be of interest to the community, advice-seeking and /or knowledge-worthy.

From Yahoo. Our points system is meant to reward the community members for sharing questions and answers, so creating multiple accounts or posting content for the sole purpose of gaining points or soliciting others for points is not permitted. Posting filler answers to a question in an effort to be first to answer, or copying and pasting other members' answers, are also forms of cheating.

Here are the community guidelines. it makes sense to read them

There are however trolls out there who report most anything. If you feel you have been wronged you should appeal.
