I have a gift of Korean money, that was given to me as a Lunar New year gift.?

That friend has now suddenly passed away (RIP) would it be wrong or bad luck to remove one piece of the coins to turn into a charm for a necklace? I am not sure of the customs concerning this. I do not want to ruin the good fortune that was given to me by her. However, I want to help honor her memory.

Any help or insight would be gratefully appreciated.

It is a gift to you from a dear deceased friend ...use it as you see fit ....using one of the coins as a charm or a pendent would be just perfect and remind you of her ....Do you happen to know their value ... this may help you choose the best coin...
