Suppose that a person needs something. He prays for it and then gets it.....?

There can be 2 situations

1) He got that thing because he prayed for it

2) He got it because it was just written for him, he could have got it even if he didnt pray

So my question is that

Which one of these actually happens?

Whats the use of praying for something if we are going to get it anyway?

Can someone get something which is not written for him, but just because he is praying for it??

of your two situations, the second one is not absolutely true.

because you forgot the third situation.

    three situations are as follows

    1st as you mentioned

2nd - he got it because it was written for him

3rd- he got it because so it was written that he will only get it when he prays for it.

so the use of praying as u asked is that you do not know what is really in store for you.

Moreover, if a person asks for something and does not get it in the world, he will get it in Hereafter.

The above mentioned situations were used by scholars in refutation of the Mu'tazilah and Jabriyya group.

moreover, Allah calls mu'mineen (the faithful) to pray to him for he accepts your prayers. ud'oonee wa-stajib lakum.

And when My slaves ask you (O Muhammad SAW) concerning Me, then (answer them), I am

indeed near. I respond to the invocations of the supplicant when he calls on Me (without any mediator or intercessor). So let them obey Me and believe in Me, so that they may be led aright. (2:186)

what could be more pleasing for us to call on Allah and ask Him to change our fortunes and our situations.

    Hope this helps.

When you pray for something, Allah(swa) will facilitate your life for you to get what you want.

1.if you pray and do nothing, you will get nothing.

2.if you pray and work towards your goal, Allah.swa will facilitate your life.

3.You should pray 5 times a day anyways to keep god close to your heart right? So you shouldn't really be worrying about this... unless you are not muslim.. then yeah.. worry.

You know you cant pray to get a new bike or xbox right?? I'm just saying.. Its Ironic cuz I just teached that to my 6 year old son last month!

It is a good question as many people are confused.

    1. Prayer can change your destiny. So it is always beneficial to pray.

2 Destiny is not fixed but changes upon your actions. It is wrong to

assume that Allah does not reward or punish you for your deeds

    in this world also.
