Yahoo Answers is shutting down on May 4th, 2021 (Eastern Time) and the Yahoo Answers website is now in read-only mode. There will be no changes to other Yahoo properties or services, or your Yahoo account. You can find more information about the Yahoo Answers shutdown and how to download your data on this help page.

So Yahoo, when are you actually going to fix this site instead of making it worse every time you claim to fix?

it?

People on this site constantly threatening others, then there is the spam, phishing...etc.

But, when the "report abuse" button is clicked, 99% of the time all that is seen is "Sorry, something has gone wrong"

Yeah, something has gone wrong...the morons that Yahoo hires to make this site work.

We have been asking the same question for years now and it seems that no sooner do they think they have fixed or added a new feature or something and release another batch of gremlins.

I have come to believe that report abuse message is to indicate they have recorded a report already and I would like to see us advancing without all of the back clicking.

This category is not a link to Customer Service. It is not read by Staff. It is answered by other Y!A users just like you, though hopefully not so rude. A site this large is going to have glitches. My favorite is the spell-checker that seems to be operating in a foreign language.

I have never seen the "something has gone wrong" notice when I report questions or answers. I don't know what is wrong with your connection, but it isn't the site. It works fine here. This is a user-moderated site. If you see something in violation of the Guidelines, you need to report it.

Most of the time, when I see the "something has gone wrong" notice, I am answering a question for someone. I go back one page and repeat the action. It almost always works the second time.

With a site like this that has huge amounts of code, it will actually never be "fixed". If you go back and look, Yahoo never claims to "fix" anything They either do maintenance or updates. We are the Beta testers for any changes they make. Also, remember, YA is about 1% of Yahoo traffic, so they have other pages that they spend the time improving. They are even having problems with their News pages which are much more important to their ad revenue.
