please someone help me i am in desperate need! i just accidently clicked dont save on the document i have been working on for the past 5 hours without save (SERIOUSLY STUPID I KNOW) instead of closing a different document. i checked and it has not autosaved :((((( IS THERE ANY POSSIBLE WAY TO GET MY WORK BACK I AM DESPERATE!!! its an assignment and its due tomorrow!!!!! No, the work is gone. Word's Auto Recovery function only works for documents that have been saved, and Word 2011 (as of version 14.2.2) doesn't support the Auto Save feature of OS X 10.7 Lion, yet.
You need to create to work again. (The second time is usually easier, though.) This time, save the document when you start it. Consider using the option to automatically create backup copies as well, if you frequently use Word for important work.

If you haven't clicked on anything else yet, there should be a button at the top that says, "UNDO" If you click on it, it should undo the last thing you did.
