Are voting laws to keep illegal immigrants from voting or minorities.?

Update:

@chuck,,you don't follow the news too well I take it. The voting laws are designed to prevent blacks, namely poor ones from voting. Getting an ID is not that easy for a 93 black woman who has no birth certificate. And records of her birth are probably lost or something like that.

These laws only came about because of Obama being black. Why did such laws not come out when Bill Clinton was president.

    Illegals and dead people.

    All states require that a valid ID must be carried over a certain age (Usually 16-18) to be presented to Law Enforcement upon demand. The argument the left has is like the dog on the porch. It doesn't hunt and has no validity. They claim it singles out the poor and minorities, and that's bullshit.

    To prevent voter fraud. You don't think it is too burdensome to ask people attempting to vote to confirm their identity and eligibility to vote, do you?
