Skeeter's answer is the most correct. I've seen these used in oriental agriculture as a multi-purpose tool. It certainly isn't a builder's tool, the clue is in the name on the handle, 'Farm Master'.
Edit. The answer stating it's a builder's tool has now been altered to say it's a farmer's tool, in case there is confusion over my comment.
Edit 2. The answer that stated it was a builder's tool and then changed to state it's a farmer's tool for churn scraping has now been altered to say it's a beekeeping tool. This is so confusing!

A hori hori has a serrated edge, which your's appears not to have. Yours DOES look like a beekeeper's knife.

It is called a uncapping knife. Used by bee keepers to scrape honey away from they trays. Since it was an old orchard, they had to have had bees to help pollinate their crops.
