The ringing or buzzing sound in the ear is called Tinnitus, its due to the lack of any external sound thats actually occuring.

There can be various reasons for it.

How long have you been having it? is it the first time?

The simplest reasons could be there's a foreign object in your ear, or maybe you have an infection of some sort, known as otitis media.

It could also be due to the build up of wax, or even any nasal allergies.

As a doctor, iw ould recommend that you should consult an ENT specialist, so that they can look into your ear and know exactly what could be causing the tinnitus.

Till you see a doctor, try to mask the sound by listening to music or something.
