Lee and Dempster....?

Why do certain pitchers (especially Cliff Lee and Ryan Dempster) get little to no run support?

Is it coincidental? What are your thoughts?

i think its sort of a coincidence, but its also just bad luck for both of them. Dempster's problem is that he plays for the Cubs, who are right now in a race for the worst record in the majors. Lee just plays for a team thats missing their power hitters, so run support is inconsistant... and apparently non-existant for Lee

    Dempster plays for the Cubs..

Lee has been very inconsistent throughout his career...I think you might find he had run support in games he was taken out early. I think it's mostly co-incidence though.

Not sure why that is the case, it could be because the team is on. But then again in a baseball game it is hard to score runs if the team that you are playing, their players throw a ball to a certain base which would be the one you are running towards, and the ball gets to the player that is on the field, and they tag you out or get you out of the game. Well not out of the game, only the umpires can actually throw players out of the game, but if they tag you out it is hard to score runs if they get you out, and even by a double play or I believe even rarely a triple play. Not sure how many teams have pulled off a triple play, but for sure double plays are very common, even through it can seem like cheating cause that is one of the easiest ways to get 2 outs at one time.
