Does female boxers being tested for hormone count to determine their gender?

It came across to my mind about an incident during a long time Asian games that a female track and field athlete got stripped of her medal (gold) for failing a hormone count test. The findings said that her hormone count belong to a male, the reason for the failed test. Does this practice also applies to female fighters because some of them doesn't possessed the physique of a female except maybe for that reproductive organ.

When a woman works out and get big and buff like a man ,their body chemistry changes and testosterone leveles go way up making their voices deep. I imagine they find that quite insulting as well.
