I read in a book that Makkah and Madinah will be destroyed before the Day Of Judgement..?

This will not happen before Jesus Christ has arrived, ruled the world

for 40 years, married and died. Then an air will blow which will peacefully

take the souls of all Muslims away. Then only the infidels will rule the

world. And demolishing of kaabah is one of the last Signs. The world

will end and people will revived to stand before their God.

One of the major signs of day of judgement is that an ethopian guy with skinny legs is going to destroy the kaaba in mecha. This is one of the major signs. The major signs will come after each other very quickly. Some Muslim scholars believe that all the minor signs of day of judgment already past. The Prophet(peace be upon him) said: "Dhu Assuwiyqatayni (small-legged) from Ethiopia will demolish the Ka'bah." [Al-Bukhaari and Muslim] In the narration reported by Imaam Ahmad, it says: 'He will take all its jewellery and treasures. He is a bald, thin legged man who will hit it with his axe and his pick.' The Prophet said: "Dhu Assuwiyqatayni (small-legged) from Ethiopia will demolish the Ka'bah." [Al-Bukhaari and Muslim] In the narration reported by Imaam Ahmad, it says: 'He will take all its jewellery and treasures. He is a bald, thin legged man who will hit it with his axe and his pick.' Al-Haafith Ibn Hajar stated that this incident will not take place except at the end of the time before the Hour.
