How does a boxer injure both his feet during a match?

Update:

I train mma fighters and understand how bare feet get injured from stomps and kicks but I am not buying the footwork crap as a cause of foot injuries. I can only guess the injury occured before the fight - road work but not foot work. Come up with a better answer I can buy please.

I assume you are referring to Tim Bradley...?

The first couple of rounds started at a blistering pace, the footwork is fast and furious...

Because a boxer has to adapt a different stance countless times - It is easy to injure your ankles.

As a former boxer myself, I can assure you that after being punched hard to the head, you step back at speed (whilst still under attack), and try to get your footing correct in order to sustain the attack / move out of the way of the attack / spread your feet apart in preparation to counter attack.....

I can easily understand how Bradley injured both his ankles... The pace of the first few rounds was on fire....

He cab certainly have sprained it, which just goes to show u needs to work on hi as footwork. A fracture though I couldn't imagine it happened unless the injury was already there and ye just reinjured it.
