Question about liabilty?

I was backing up into a blind spot. Someone was guiding me backwards and backed me into a parked car. Very minimal damage and I think I am only half responsible. Shouldn't the person who was guiding me hold some liability? I am in California if that make a difference

No. YOU are driving the car, YOU are the one that needs to ensure that it's safe. You are solely at fault. Next time, get someone more competent and intelligent to guide you.
