Excel - "Right click to change" does not work?
I have been sent a spreadsheet in Excel. Some of the columns headings are in Metric units - 'C, Density, etc. When I mouse-over the cell containing "Temp in 'C", for example, a note appears that says "Right click to change to 'F" Likewise, if I mouse-over the cell containing "Density @ 15'C", a note appears saying "Right click to change to API @ 60'F".
But when I actually right click in the cell, nothing happens, and the units remain Metric. Calculations further down the sheet use the contents of these cells to decide what version of various formulae to use, so I can't just over type.
The workbook and worksheet are unprotected.
Any advice, please?

Seems the workbook should have macros that are supposed to handle that functionality.
Chances are pretty good that Excel is blocking the macros from executing (they can be a security risk). You should see a bar just underneath the Ribbon with an "Enable Macros" button or something similar.
The default .xlsx format is specifically designed to restrict macros, while the .xlsM format is macro-enabled. Excel also disables macros in the older .xls format by default.

I am not sure which version of Excel you are using but on my Excel ribbon 2010 menu there is a format cells. Look on your ribbon toolbar menu on top and locate insert, delete and format. Click on the arrow near format and select format cells. Select the appropriate conversion for your column.
