Why is it that Obama said the heath insurance mandate is not a tax when it is only upheld in court as a tax?

The Supreme court ruling today makes it a TAX not the act itself. In the act there is no express wording that states it is a TAX. The U.S. Supreme basically made an inference. NOT uncommon though. Judges make inferences all the time.

Toady's supreme court ruling does not prove Obama lied. Conservatives assuming the ruling does only proves you Conservatives do not understand how our legal system works or how judges render their decisions.

Just because justice Roberts declared it a tax does not make it so. Roberts knew he had to make a controversial statement to back up what he already knew was the right stand. He just could not pass up the chance to keep it political.

WTF difference does it make what they call it? It will only affect those irresponsible sleazeballs who think the rest of us should pick up the tab for their medical care so they don't have to buy insurance. The rest of us don't have to pay the "tax" or the "penalty".

Yes Dave. Please tell us why Obama is evil and wants all your money. Tell us about Mitt Romney because we all know that Romney NEVER passed universal health care here in Massachusetts.
