Do most women carry tampons/napkins regularly?

Do women usually carry tampons or sanitary napkins on their persons on a regular basis (in a bag or purse, or wherever), "just in case"? Or do they only carry them when they are expecting to start their period? Or do they not carry them at all and only have them at home?

I ask because I'm not too clear on how much warning (if any) a woman usually has before her menstrual flow begins (days? hours?). Put another way, is the actual start of the menstrual flow the first sign of her period, or will she feel differently or experience cramps or something that warn her that the period is about to start? I know the mechanism of menstruation very well, but of course I have no direct experience of it, being male.

I keep one in my purse at (almost) all times.

There can be schedules or warning signs, or there may not be. Cramps do tend to come before the flow, so there's a warning. As for schedules, sudden stress can really screw with those. I've been caught in a predicament before where I had to wad up that terrible public restroom tissue which, for the record, does not work in the teeniest tiniest bit for that purpose.

    TMI, right? :p

We usually carry pads/tampons all the time. Especially when we're young it's very irregular and can start without warning at any time. Better safe than sorry, right? ;)

But anyways, yes there are symptoms some of the time before it starts. After all, PMS stands for premenstrual syndrome, so it should happen before. They include breaking out (acne), abdominal cramps (these reeaaallyyy hurt), mood swings, and cravings, among other things.

    Hope I helped ;)

All women are different but some do get cramps. Actually most as far as I know. And most do carry at least one tampon with them when they are near there period. Oh, and why dose a guy want to know? And women are moody near there period.

We do usually carry tampons around. Some women just carry them around to be safe since period's are always changing. Some women start to feel sick before they start their period. It really just depends on the women.
