Do you understand why all those volume-volume dilution problems?

they made you do in high-school algebra ( and chemistry ) were incorrect,

even though the State tests expected you to come up with specific answers?

This is a serious question, which bears upon only one area of wrong teaching in our schools.

Good point, but would it not be the teachers priority to realize these mistakes before handing it out to their students for H/W. I mean, they're not paid to put their feet up on the desk and read the newspaper (I've actually witnessed this in my old school). Who thought these teachers? My thought on this matter is that a few teachers are only doing their job for the money. It's basically greed and misdeed. But the fact of the matter is that only a very, very small portion of students have this problem, thus they seek help or answers. You may think it's a lot, but in reality it's a very small potion that have these problems. The rest don't need to use internet to get their H/W done because they have good teachers, therefore good notes. I may have gone off topic but that's just how I feel.
