Home Loan Charged Off?

My home loan has been charged off per the bank.

The banks attorney states they did not foreclose on the property. I moved out a week before the listed foreclosure sale. This was a year ago. Property is still in my name although the bank says the property has been sold.

Can I sell the property to get it out of my name? Or do I demand the deed to this property?

I also sent a payment which was returned. Letter stated the property was "Paid in Full"

I am not interested in returning to the property as vandals have ruined the property.

the only way I know to confirm things is to contact the county property tax assessor's office.

See who they have listed as the owner. IF you, you have more quirky problems; IF someone

    else, supposedly no problems.

What the bank says has no meaning; call them back and get them to fax or email you a confirmation

of what they are saying; a "temp" could have answered the phone.

If the tax assessor says it is in your name, visit the county recorder. If they have it in your name,

then, it is your house still and you may sell it.

I can see, to be fair about it, why this can be more confusing because of his very

nice, very late, attempt to help out America; he has -had frozen foreclosures.

IT is possible that your home was never sold at auction.......or taken back by the bank

even though you got the notices that you got.
