In Downton Abbey, why is Lady Mary referred to as Lady Mary Crawley, when her father is Lord Grantham?

Shouldn't her name be Lady Mary Grantham? Just curious. She's not married to Matthew Crawley, yet. But she has been referred to as Lady Mary Crawley..
