HELP! WHAT SHOULD I DO?
HELP!!! So I have been looking for a lease horse, I was clicking on a few ads and I found a perfect horse. I was for sale but it said may lease. So I contacted the lady, and she said she would free lease her to me BUT after 3 months I would need to buy her. She is $1,800 Negotiable, but my parents would only pay like $600 for a horse!!! Any ideas on what I should do!!!

Hey,
If your parents aren't 100% on board, you can't have a horse. Sorry 'bout that. But you wouldn't have to just scrape together $1,200, you would have to somehow scrape together all of the money you'll need for feed, board, shoeing, vet care, an emergency fund or insurance, your own tack and equipment, etc. for 20-30 years. It's hopeless, so I wouldn't get your hopes up that you can somehow buy her.
So, now you can focus on trying to lease the horse. "May lease" is a very negotiable statement, so call her again and explain that buying isn't an option - but that you'd be willing to pay, say, $200 for a select number of rides per month. The market for horses sucks, so it's quite likely she'd agree if you're firm about the fact that she's not going to be able to get you to buy her horse.
Best of luck!

No pun intended, but you are putting the "cart before the horse." I think you should definitely lease the horse first. If you love the horse after 3 months and want to buy her, then you can work something out with the seller. You may be able to get her to come down on the price; pay her the $600 and the rest in payments. Good luck! I hope it works out for you.

Do the free lease. If it works out and you really like the horse. Show the owner that you like the horse, and that the horse is in a great home.
Maybe your parents and the owner could work something out about the price.

Take the horse for the free lease and then you and your parents will love him and wont want to give him back. If you really look after the horse and show the owner that you love him and will look after him well, she may discount the price for you.

My horse was $850 but she isn't allowed to jump. You won't get much for $600! Maybe you could work for her or just lease her then maybe your parents will fall in love with her and buy her for you!

Basically, you have three months to saw $1200. Can you get a job? Do online surveys? Think of anything you can do to make more money. Do lemonade stands and bake sales. I know it's not a lot but every thing helps.
Either that or you could find another horse, one in your price range this time.

Sell stuff you don't want on ebay and try and get a job. You'll have to pay for it yourself
