My ferrets always seem bored... How can I make them happy?

I thinks it's their age as 7 is old in ferret years, unless your other ferret is quite young? Ferrets tend to slow down after 4 years of age but a check up at the vets wont hurt just to make sure they are healthy :)

If they have got toys then they may not be bored. My ferrets used to live in a ferret nation with floor time for 3 hours a day. They went loopy for the duration of flooring time. Now they have got a 35 rectangular foot cage and get ground time for 6+ hours a day. They continuously appear worn out and lazy. Its considering that they can run and play whenever they chose. Ferrets are nocturnal animals they are more active at night then during the day... I used to have 3 ferrets and I got a lil tube for them to run in n out of n they seemed to love that! Maybe you should try that?
